HOW TO MAKE TURON HALO-HALO

Ingredients:

1 kilo prepared halo-halo (without shaved ice), placed in freezer
8 Chinese lumpia wrappers
1/2 cup cornstarch paste
1 cup brown sugar
oil for deep-frying
chocolate syrup
sesame seeds

Mama’s Guide Instructions:

Cut the frozen halo-halo into small blocks. Place in wrappers, roll and paste edges to secure that they will not open.

Deep-fry until golden brown. You may add brown sugar into oil until caramelized. Remove from oil and drain in wire rack.

Cut into half, arrange in a plate and serve with chocolate syrup and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
