These maruya’s or also known as Banana Fritters are not the normal maruya you always eat. These are fluffy and yummier. It is very simple and easy to make. Happy cooking and enjoy!
Fluffy Maruya Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
2 cups cooking oil, for deep frying
Ripe saba or plantain bananas, sliced lengthwise
Sugar, for coating
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Sift dry ingredients (flour, baking powder & salt) into a bowl. Set aside.
2. Mix eggs, milk and oil.
3. Combine dry and wet ingredients. Beat until smooth.
4. Dip bananas in batter and deep fry until golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
5. Roll in sugar.
6. Enjoy!
