Delicious Pita Bread recipe, perfect for your favorite sandwich, humus, shawarma, or quesadillas. Simple and tasty!

Pita Bread Recipe
1 package of dry yeast, 2 1\2 teaspoon
1/2 cup warm water
2 teaspoon granulated sugar
4-4 1\2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoon dry milk
1 1\2 cup lukewarm water
2 tablespoon olive oil
Prepare and dissolve 1 package of yeast in 1/2 cup of warm water. Then add 2 teaspoon sugar, mix well until dissolved. Set aside for 10-15 minutes and wait until it turns frothy in texture.
In a mixing bowl, mix 4 cups of flour, milk and salt.
Make a small well in the center of flour and pour 1 tablespoon oil and yeast water.
Gradually add 1 cup of warm water. using the hook attachment, beat and stir to form a dough. Add the rest of the flour as you knead. Keep kneading until elastic, for about seven minutes.
Transfer dough on a flat floured surface and knead for five minutes. You can add the remaining oil and continue to knead to incorporate the oil well. Your dough is good to go once it When becomes manageable, not sticky, smooth and elastic.
Grease a large bowl with oil and transfer dough in bowl. Turn and flip the dough so it gets filmed with oil outside. Set it aside in a warm place for about 15 minutes.
After it rest, slice about 12 small pieces, Place each sliced balls on floured surface. Let sit covered for 10 minutes more.
Roll out each ball of dough with a rolling pin into circles. Use a cutter if available to make it easy. Each should be about 5-6 inches across and 1/4 inch thick or more if you want it a little more thick. Place circles of dough on flat tray and cover with dry cloth. Let it rise for 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 500 deg F. and place rack at the very bottom of oven. Be sure to also preheat your baking sheet.
Bake pita bread in batches for 2 minutes or until you hear the bread puffs. Once puffed, just turn it over to cook the other side. Transfer into a plate with cloth to keep your pita soft and warm.
Serve warm with your favorite hummus or filling. Enjoy!
