Pastipolvoron de Ube is Pastillas with Polvoron mixture in Ube flavor. It’s yummy and easy to make for the kids.

Pastipolvoron is pastillas with polvoron combination, your favorite pinoy candy 2 in 1. Pastipolvoron, pastillas with polvoron twist!

I would like to credit the person who created this recipe which I got and adapted from Mama’s Guide Facebook group. There are two language version for this recipe, Tagalog and English.

PASTI POLVORON DE UBE

Ingredients:

2 cups All purpose flour

2 cups Bear Brand powdered milk

1 can Alaska condensed milk (300ml)

2 tbsp Green Leaf violet food coloring

½ tsp Green Leaf Ube flavoring

½ cup sugar for coating or powder sugar

½ cup all purpose flour for dusting

Plastic wrappers,prepare it before starting with your recipe.

Paraan ng pagluto:

Sa isang kawali, isalang ang 2 ½ cups  all purpose flour at gumamit ng pinaka mahinang apoy. Lutuin ang ang all purpose flour, saglit lamang at hindi kinakailangang tustahin dahil papait ito. Kapag medyo naluto na ang flour, patayin ang apoy at palamigin ng kaunti.

Maghiwalay ng ½ cup cooked flour para sa dusting mamaya at isantabi. Gumamit ng malaking bowl, ilagay ang bear brand powdered milk at 2 cups cooked flour. Haluin at isantabi muna.

Sa isang bowl, ibuhos ang isang lata ng condensed milk at idagdag ang 2 tbsp ng food coloring at ube flavor. Haluin maigi, hangang sa maging kulay black. Magiging violet ang kulay nito kapag hinalo na sa puting flour at gatas.

Gamit ang spatula, ihalo sa condensed milk ang flour at powdered milk. Haluin maigi hanggang sa maging dough like ang mixture.

Ichill ng saglit ang dough for 5 minutes.

Ihanda ang tray, sugar dust, at extra ½ cup cooked flour pang dust ng palad bago ibilog ang pastillas. Kumuha ng ½ teaspoon sa mixture at saka ibilog gamit ang dalawang palad at igulong sa asukal. Ilagay sa tray at palamigin ng saglit sa freezer para mag-set.

Ibalot sa plastic wrapper..at ready na siyang ipack!

Note: dagdagan ng isang kutsarang condensed milk if masyadong tuyo ang mixture. Paunti unti lang ang dagdag ng condensed. If medyo mabasa pa, magdust lang ng isang kutsarang powdered milk.

(English Version)

Ingredients:

2 cups All purpose flour

2 cups Bear Brand powdered milk

1 can Alaska condensed milk (350ml)

2 tbsp Green Leaf violet food coloring

½ tsp Green Leaf Ube flavoring

½ cup sugar for coating or powder sugar

½ cup all purpose flour for dusting

Plastic wrappers,prepare it before starting with your recipe.

Instructions:

In a non stick pan, toast 2 ½ cups all purpose flour for about 5 minutes or less using very low heat. You don’t need to brown it or it will taste bitter. Just cook it quickly. Turn off heat and remove ½ cups of cooked flour for dusting later.

In a bowl, transfer cooked flour and 2 cups bear brand powdered milk.

In another bowl prepare condensed milk and pour food coloring and ube flavor. Mix well. Your condensed milk should turn into almost black. Don’t worry, it will become violet onced mixed with milk and flour.

Next, combine dry ingredients with your condensed milk, use a rubber spatula and mix it, until well incorporated and becomes like a dough in texture. Dust it if needed, you can dust it with milk or extra cooked flour

Freeze it for 5 mins to stabilize the milk flour dough. Prepare an extra flour and dust your palm every time you scoop and form a shape.

Scoop ½ teaspoon and shape it into round balls as big as 1 peso coin or 5 peso coin. Place it on tray dust it with sugar and chill it for 5 mins to set.

Place in canister or wrapper. Enjoy!
