This recipe is a simple recipe for any household maker. No complications, just the basic ingredients you can find in any store. Its easy but at the same time delicious!
Want a yellow siomai? You can buy yellow colored siomai wrappers. Try finding a Siomai wrapper but if you can’t find one..wonton wrappers is an ok substitute anyway. Remember, wonton wrappers are a bit thicker than siomai wrappers. Wonton wrappers may slip the meat..because its a bit thicker. You can use a scissors to slice the corners and make it round if you have a square shape wrapper.
Q: What brand can you suggest for Siomai Wrappers?
You can try Dinks Molo, Sho Mai Wrapper or Bambi Wonton Wrappers they have white or yellow variant, sold in Shopee.
Q: What is the orange dot on top of Siomai?
The orange garnish in the center of Pork Siomai is a Crab Roe.
You can make your own Siomai Sauce: see recipe here.
Yield: 40 pcs.
