
Simpleng ulam or lutong bahay, pero napaka-sustansya. Ito rin ba ang madalas lutuin ng iyong mama nun maliit ka pa? Sabay kanta ng.. “Makulay ang buhay sa sinabawang gulay..”
Bulanglang na Gulay Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/4 pound lean pork (sliced small pieces)
- 2 eggplant; sliced
- 15 pieces green beans
- 2 cups sliced squash or calabaza
- 2 sliced tomatoes;
- 1 Ampalaya (bittermelon); sliced slanting
- 10 okra
- 1 cup Malunggay leaves
- 3 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 tbsp. bagoong na alamang (shrimp paste)
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 ginger
- 1 cup of water
- dried small shrimp, optional
- cooking oil
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Sautee’ together the garlic, onion and ginger until fragrant.
- Add the bagoong, continue to sauté.
- Add water and bring to boil
- Add the green beans, calabaza or squash; bring it to boil.
- After 3 minutes add the Okra, Ampalaya, Malunggay and Talong.
- Add more water if needed.
- Add dried small shrimp, season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for a minute or two.
- Serve hot with rice and maybe with fried Galunggong!
