Want to cook some quick and easy menu? Try this super easy chicken mushroom that your kids will sure love. Its creamy and very light in taste.

For sure matutuwa na naman ang mga kids sa putaheng ito. Tipid sa budget, Filipino style at siguradong masisiyahan ang mga bata sa sarap ng Chicken mushroom! Super creamy at light lamang sa panlasa at siguraduhing lagyan ng tinadtad na fresh herbs para mas mabango ang inyong ulam at amoy pa lamang ay nakakagutom na. Cooking Notes: For this recipe, you may use Chicken fillet preferably and cubed it. Alternatively, you may use bone-in chicken chopped in desired serving size.

Chicken Mushroom Recipe

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 kg chicken breast fillet, sliced into desired serving size and thickness (or 1 whole chopped chicken)
  • 4 Calamansi/or juiced of fresh lemon
  • 3 onions, minced
  • 2 garlic, minced
  • 1 laurel leaf (or bay leaf)
  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • 4 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 cup sliced mushroom
  • 1 cup water or chicken broth
  • 1 cup all purpose cream
  • Salt and pepper

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Marinate the chicken with calamansi juice and salt for about an hour. Cover and set aside in the fridge.
  2. In a wok, heat some oil over low heat. Stir fry chicken and let it brown on all sides. Turn off heat and set aside once browned.
  3. Using the same wok, saute onions and garlic in butter until fragrant. Add in mushrooms to and let it cook until browned.
  4. Add back the browned chicken pieces and add broth/water. Season with soy sauce and add bay leaf.
  5. Bring it to a boil and just let it simmer over low heat and the liquid is reduced.
  6. Once the chicken is cooked through, add in all purpose cream and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Add some chopped fresh herbs like Cilantro or spring onions. Serve and enjoy!

FILIPINO/TAGALOG VERSION

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. I-marinate ang manok sa calamansi at asin sa loob ng isang oras. Isantabi muna upang manuot ang marinade sauce.
  2. Sa isang kawali, lagyan ng konting mantika gamit ang mababang apoy.  Isangkutsa ang manok at itabi kapag kulay brown na
  3. Sa parehong kawali igisa ang sibuyas, mushroom at bawang sa mantikilya
  4. Palambutin at hintaying mag kulay brown ng kaunti.
  5. Ibalik sa kawali ang manok at lagyan ng kaunting tubig, toyo at laurel
  6. Pakuluin hanggang maluto at maging kaunti ang tubig.
  7. Ilagay ang all purpose cream at timplahan ng asin at paminta.
  8. Pwede ding lagyan ng tinadtad na wansoy or pwede rin ang tinadtad na dahon ng sibuyas. Enjoy! Happy cooking!!
