4 Ingredient: Brazo de Mercedes (NO BAKE)
3 eggs (separated)
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1/3 cup condensed milk
1/3 tsp cream of tartar
For the Meringue Base:
Beat egg whites. Gradually add sugar;
add 1/3 tsp cream of tartar and continue mixing until it becomes soft and fluffy in texture. The meringue should be very stable and doubled in volume.
Prepare a pan and grease it with oil on all sides. Pour base mixture into your prepared pan. Cover and steam the mixture for about 10 minutes. Make sure no water drips over your cake ans cover it with foil or cloth.
For the Filling:
In a pan, mix the condensed milk with egg yolk well.
On low fire, cook for about 10-12 minutes.
Pour the filling into the cooled base mixture. Dust with powdered sugar.
You can use oven toaster to toast it for 1 or 2 mins. to give it a slight brownish color on top.
Best served when chilled!
