Another simple and healthy vegetable recipe you must try, Ginataang Bulaklak ng Kalabasa (Squash Flower) with squash, shrimp and fish fillet (left over) in coconut milk.
Ginataang Bulaklak ng Kalabasa
400 grams shrimps, cleaned and peeled
1/2 cup Fried fish fillet, (left over)
1 shrimp broth cube
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 onion, chopped
2 cups Coconut Milk (kakang gata)
1/4 Kalabasa/squash, cubed
1 bundle sitaw (string beans), sliced
Kalabasa flowers and tops, (tangalin ang talulot at stems ng dahon)
1. In a medium pan, heat an oil over medium fire and saute garlic and onions until soft and fragrant. Then add shrimp and saute for 2 minutes.
2. Pour coconut milk, add shrimp broth cube and let boil. Add kalabasa and followed by sitaw.
3. Add Kalabasa flowers and tops. Let it simmer for a few minutes. Season with salt, chili flakes, patis to your taste preference. Lastly, Add fish fillet, stir. Turn of heat.
