Yummy strawberry gelatine desserts to make for your week ender!
1 tin (chilled) Evaporated milk
1 tin (chilled) condensed milk
Juice of ½ lemon
2 packets strawberry jelly (or jam)
1 teaspoon gelatine powder (add to strawberry jelly when you add hot water to make the jelly and stir until melted)
500g fresh strawberries
Mix the strawberry jelly and gelatine powder with ½ cup boiling water, stir until dissolved and add 1 cup cold water.
When cooled, whisk the evaporated milk and lemon juice until thick and foamy. Add the cooled off jelly mixture and condensed milk to the mixture while whisking.
Use a jelly mould or such like. Pack the fresh strawberries in the bottom of the mould (remember this is going to be the top when set). Pour the mixture in the mould on top of the fresh strawberries.
Allow to set (preferably 5 hours)and turn over in a plate. Serve with ice cream or cream. Enjoy!
