What makes it different from other breads? It’s irish soda bread made with a combination of baking soda and buttermilk and other ingredients.
With a smell of a freshly baked bread..it smelled so yummy. The butter made it smell like super buttered popcorn while it is baking!
Irish Soda bread, with a good bit tasty crust outside is just fantastic. ?
Ingredients:
3 cups of flour
1 tablespoon of baking powder
1/3 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 egg
2 cups of buttermilk
¼ cup of melted butter
Optional:
1 cup of raisins or a dried fruit (optional)

Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
Grease round pan or iron skillet with butter or oil.
Combine all the dry ingredients in medium bowl.
Whisk in egg and melt butter until mixrure is moistened.
Toss raisins and stir just until they are blended into the mixture.
Transfer mixture into your greased pan or iron skillet and bake for 1 hour.
Let it cool overnight. Garnish with powdered sugar. Serve and enjoy!
