CHINESE HONEY SESAME CHICKEN

CHINESE HONEY SESAME CHICKEN

Sangkap:

1 lb boneless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch cubes or long strips
Oil, for deep-frying
2 garlic, minced
Toasted sesame seeds, to garnish

Frying Batter:

1 egg white
1/2 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup water, ice cold
1 tablespoon oil
Pinch of salt

Honey Sesame Sauce:

1/3 cup pure honey
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar, kung wala pwedeng rice wine vinegar o kahit na anong suka meron kayo
1/2 tablespoon ketchup
1 teaspoon sesame oil
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon salt

CHINESE HONEY SESAME CHICKEN

Paraan ng Pagluluto:

1) Paghaluin lahat ng sangkap para sa Frying Batter sa isang mangkok (egg white, haring, cornstarch, baking powder, ice cold water, oil, salt) Batihin ito na parang pancake batter na. Itabi.

2) Pagsamahin naman sa isa pang mangkok ang honey sesame sauce (honey, vinegar, ketchup, sesame oil, cornstarch, water, salt). Itabi.

3) Magpainit ng kawali na may mga 2 inches na mantika sa medium-high heat. Ilublob ang hiniwang manok sa batter at isa isa itong i-prito. Bantayan upang hindi magdikit dikit. Lutuing hanggang mag golden brown. Salain sa paper towel.

4) Samantala sa isang malinis na kawali, igisa ang bawang hanggang bumango. Ihalo ang honey sesame sauce, pakuluin at i simmer hanggang lumapot ito. Ihalo ang mga lira ng pirasong manok. Budburan ng sesame seeds.
