It’s your ultimate childhood treat to any Filipino. They are traditionally sold in streets outside public elementary schools back in the days in the Philippines.
It is an affordable streetfood ice desserts that kids in elementary can buy after school. Back in my school days, I remember buying these. I love the pink color of the ice and the toppings are so delicious for me. But my teachers will always warns us not to buy these junk food outside.
They would prevent us buying streetfood outside by asking us to buy all the food inside the canteen before we leave the school or sometimes they would max out our food money to buy whatever is available in canteen. I guess that’s their own way of preventing kids to buy unsafe food outside school premises.
But of course I would always save atleast a few coins for my favorite pink ice scramble and for some fish balls too! I miss this Ice Scramble dessert back in my school days.
