Are you thinking of a simple but healthy dish and yet affordable, why not try Ginisang Repolyo at carrots with sardines! There are days in a month where we have to curl a little to save money because our budget becomes tight. Don’t worry, most of us needs to do that every once in awhile. We can save money and there is nothing wrong with that. You can definitely serve simple meal. It’s a healthy lifestyle to eat veggies and fish regularly. And It is important to teach our family to learn to eat these kinds of food than getting used to in eating fatty foods and extravagant meals. It goes with a saying that “Fatty foods wont make you old, because you’ll die young.” And I hope not, so lets go and cook up some veggies! Happy cooking ? Ginisang Repolyo at Carrots with Sardines

1/2 size cabbage
1 carrot, strips
1 large can sardines
3 cloves garlic, minced
salt and pepper to taste
Cooking oil


Prepare all ingredients needed. Wash and chopped cabbage and drain water.

In a pan, heat an oil and sautè garlic until lightly brown. Add carrots and let it cook partially. Then pour in the sardines. Sautè for a minute and gently stir to combine.

Add chopped cabbage and stir to combine until all veggies are crisp and tender.

Season with a pinch of salt and pepper to taste. Turn off heat amd transfer in a serving plate.

Serve hot with steamed rice. Enjoy!

Mga Sangkap:

1/2 Repolyo, hiniwa-hiwa
1 maliit na carrots, hiniwa ng maninipis at pahaba
1 malaking lata ng sardinas
3 butil ng bawang, tinadtad
Kurot ng asin
Kurot ng paminta

Paraan ng pagluluto:

Sa isang kawali ay mag-gisa na bawang na may kaunting mantika hangang maging brown ng bahagya ang mga tinadtad na bawang. At saka naman idagdag ang mga hiniwang carrots, hangang sa bahagya itong maluto. Idagdag naman ang isang lata ng sardinas at haluin ng bahagya upang pumantay ang halo ng mga sangkap. Hayaan itong maluto ng isang minuto o mahigit. Pagkatapos ay idagdag ang mga hiniwang repolyo. Lutuin ito ng karagdagang 1 minuto. Timplahan ng kaunting asin at pamintang durog. Tikman at alisin sa apoy. Maari na po itong ihain kasama ng bagong lutong kanin. Enjoy!
