How to Make Steamed Egg Cakes
INGREDIENTS:
Egg mixture:
2 eggs
3 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp fresh milk
2 tbsp vegetable oil
3 tbsp condensed milk
Flour mixture:
2 tsp baking powder
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
INSTRUCTIONS:
In a bowl, beat the eggs, add in sugar, milk, oil and condensed milk. Make sure that each ingredient is being mixed first before adding the next.
Sift the baking powder and the all purpose flour. Then, combine it into the egg mixture and slowly fold until the mixtures are just combined. Do not over-mixed for spongy effect. Over mixing your batter will result to a limp texture.
Steam in hot boiling water for 15 mins. Check it with a toothpick in the center. If it comes oit clean. It’s good to go. Turn off heat and transfer into a wire rack and let it cool. Serve and enjoy!
