Paksiw na Tilapia recipe is not only easy to make, but this recipe is also a good menu for the coming lenten season. Lets contemplate, have a break and abstain for the meantime from eating meat for Lenten season.

Paksiw na Tilapia Recipe

Ingredients:

3 pieces medium-sized tilapia, cleaned, scales removed and cut diagonally into half or into 3 parts
2 small garlic, pounded
1 onion, sliced
1 thumb-sized ginger, sliced into strips
1/2 cup vinegar
1 cup water
1 big eggplant, sliced
4 pcs okra, sliced
1 teaspoon cooking oil, I used olive oil
1 teaspoon peppercorn
2 teaspoon salt
2 green chili(siling haba)

Instructions:

1. In a pot, place tilapia, garlic, onion, ginger, salt and peppercorn.

2. Add water, vinegar and cooking oil then add vegetables and green chili.

3. Place pot lid and simmer in a medium heat for 10-15 minutes or until tender.

4. Remove from heat and Serve.
