Kamias Shake Recipe

You just gotta try this refreshing Kamias Shake. It has some mild sour and sweet blend that will make you saliviate and quench your thirst away. It is loaded with lots of Vitamin C and a very good detoxfying drink. Kamias shake will surely beat the heat of the summer!

So if you have tons of Kamias at the backyard (otherwise known as Averrhoa Bilimbi). Go ahead and make it to a healthy shake today. A healthy drink for your family this summer.

KAMIAS SHAKE (Averrhoa Bilimbi)

Recipe 1

1 cup kamias, sliced
1/3 cup honey
1 cup water,
ice cubes

In a blender, add all ingredients and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.

Recipe 2

1/2 cup water
1 & 1/2 cups kamias, cleaned and sliced into rounds
3/4 cup sugar syrup ( see bottom )
5 cups coarsely crushed ice

How to make kamias shake:

In a blender pitcher, add water, syrup, kamias, and crushed ice.
Grind or blend until ice and kamias are finely crushed and mixture becomes smooth.
Serve into six 8-ounce glasses with Fresh kamias slice on the side.

For the sugar syrup:

In a small pot, add 3 cups sugar and 1-1/2 cups water. Place pot cover and let  it boil over medium heat until sugar is dissolved and water becomes slightly thick. Cool and store in refrigerator.

Recipe 3

8 pcs. kamias
1/2 cup + 2 Tbsp sugar
1/2 cup water
10 ice cubes

Clean and wash the kamias in running water

Slice it into 2-3 pieces.
Add all the ingredients in a blender and grind until ice is crushed finely. Pour into a tall glass and enjoy.
