Two simple and delicious Watermelon smoothie recipe that you and kids will absolutely enjoy this summer. Real healthy thirst quencher. No harmful chemicals or additives. Just healthy!
Watermelon Smoothie
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cups cubed watermelon
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon of honey or sugar
- a few mint and/or basil leaves
INSTRUCTIONS:
Use a blender or hand mixer and blend the watermelon and the water until smooth. Add the honey and mint and blend another 10-20 seconds until smooth. Serve Immediately.
Watermelon Smoothie with Yogurt (Pakwan Smoothie)
INGREDIENTS:
- 3 cups (about 1/2 inch squares) of seedless watermelon (the smaller the pieces, the better)
- 1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
- 1 cup milk
- 3 Tablespoons maple syrup/sugar or honey
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Prepare a tray or large platter and line with a cookie sheet or wax paper and arrange watermelon slices, leaving space between each piece. Freeze for 1 hour. After watermelon is frozen you can add to ziplock bag for future use.
- Place frozen watermelon pieces in blender, add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
- Serve immediately. Garnish with a piece of watermelon or fresh mint, if desired. Enjoy!
