Deep-fried Butterfly Plapla

(BINUKADKAD NA PLAPLA RECIPE)

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 piece large plapla, cleaned well
  • Cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper
  • Barbecue sticks
  • Cooking oil for deep frying

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Rub or season Plapla fish all over with enough salt and pepper.
  2. Coat Plapla fish in cornstarch, remove excess cornstarch and deep fry in a shallow pot.
  3. Carefully slice the Plapla on both side to form the butterfly. You can use a skewer or barbeque stick to retain the fish shape before frying.
  4. Fry until brown and crispy over very hot oil.
  5. Serve with dipping sauce. Enjoy!
