BINANGKAL WITH BANANA

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup mashed ripe banana (lakatan)
2 ½ cups All purpose Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
½ teaspoon salt
2  teaspoons Baking Powder
2 pieces egg
2 tablespoons vanilla
1 cup Brown Sugar
¼ cup Oil
¼ cup evaporated Milk
Sesame Seeds
Oil for frying

INSTRUCTIONS:

(Dry Ingredients)
In a mixing bowl, sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar. Combine it well. Set aside.

(Wet ingredients)

In another bowl, mix egg, oil, evaporated milk and vanilla extract.

Combine the dry and wet ingredients. Then add the mashed banana. Combine it all together. Mix it well and add little water if needed.

Scoop about 2 tablespoon portion of dough mixture and make a round ball. Shape each ball using your palm and roll it on sesame seeds. Roll it hard so the seeds will stick to the dough. Do the same until all dough are shaped into balls.

How to fry it:
In a sauce pot, heat enough oil over medium-low heat. Deep fry the formed balls until light golden brown. Drain from oil and transfer into a bowl lined with paper towels.

Serve hot and enjoy!
