Bangsilog Breakfast Menu:

Bangus, longganisa, Sinangag at itlog with sliced tomato side dish.

Pritong Daing na Bangus

(Fried Milkfish Belly)

Ingredients:

2 large milkfish, boneless (preferably from Pangasinan)
1 cup rice vinegar
1/2 cup crushed and coarsely chopped garlic
1 ½ tsp salt
1 tsp freshly cracked black pepper

Method:

Have your selected milkfish cleaned out and butterfly-cut in the market.

Wash the fish thoroughly with running water.

Mix all other ingredients in a large bowl.

Completely submerge the milkfish in the mixture.

Let fish marinate in the fridge for at least 12 hours for maximum absorption of flavors.

Shallow fry in a hot pan, turning when one side is sufficiently browned.

Simple Garlic Fried Rice

Ingredients:

1/2 tbsp cooking oil
2 tbsp garlic, minced
2 cups cooked rice
1 sachet oyster sauce
1/2 cup vegetables, any or combination of frozen  vegetables like corn, carrots, peas (optional)

Cooking Directions:

Preheat oil, sauté garlic until brown, then add rice while stirring for 3-5 minutes.

Add oyster sauce. (vegetables maybe added at this point) and continue stir-frying for 3-5 minutes or until rice are well-coated.

Serve immediately.
