BBQ Sloppy Joes


Good old BBQ Sloppy Joes with shredded beef drenched in barbeque sauce and cooked in perfection.

You can grill it too if you like. You may use grilled shredded beef or lean ground beef is ok to use as well. They are both amazingly delicious sandwich you can try for snack. Happy cooking!



½ kilograms shredded cooked beef (alternatively lean ground beef)
1 onion, chopped
1 can diced tomatoes w/ green chilies (14 oz)
½ cup ketchup
1 cup bottled barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
20 pcs buns/bread, toasted
½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

*you may use fresh tomatoes and green chilies (siling haba) if in can is not available.


1. In a pan, heat oil and brown beef and onion over medium-high heat. Stir it often for about 8-10 minutes. Drain from oil well, then return back to pan.

2. Add in tomatoes with green chilies, ketchup, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, and worcestershire sauce. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cover pan and let it cook for about 10 minutes more.

3. Prepare buns/bread and toast. Serve beef mixture over toasted buns/bread. Add slices of pickles if prefered or alternatively sprinkle with grated cheese if desired.
