Have you tried the Binagoongan Baka sa Gata yet? Super yummy and delicious! Just make sure to choose the best beef that is easy to cook. Dont forget to have it thinly slice by the butcher so it takes lesser time to cook.
BINAGOONGANG BAKA SA GATA
1 kilogram beef, sliced in strips
2 tbsp shrimp paste (bagoong alamang)
1 tbsp garlic, minced
2 tbsp onion, chopped
1 tbsp ginger, minced
3 pcs. siling haba (long green chili)
2 cups coconut milk
1 cup all purpose flour
1 egg, beaten
salt and pepper,to taste
1 tbsp sugar
1 cup baguio beans, slice in serving size
1 large eggplant, sliced and fried
Season beef with salt and pepper. Set aside. Prepare the egg and flour ingredients for breading the beef.
Dip each beef strips in beaten egg and then roll it in the flour. Fry beef in batches over lowest heat. Once done, you can fry the slices of eggplants in oil . Set it aside.
In another pan, saute onions, garlic and ginger until fragrant. Then add in the shrimp paste and beef. Let it cook over low heat and add in the coconut milk. Let it simmer until sauce becomes thickened.
Once the beef becomes tender, its time to add the vegetables. Add in the green chili (siling haba), baguio beans and fried eggplant. Let it simmer to cook.
Season it with salt, pepper and sugar to balance the taste. Garnish with fresh green onions.
