Pork and Beans with Vegetables
Another simple lutong bahay meal for the family that you can cook today. This recipe is a new twist that you can add to your daily recipes. Yummy and healthy!

Pork and Beans with Vegetables


1 kilograms pork (kasim,cut into cubes)
2 medium potatoes, cubed
1 medium carrots, cubed
½ cabbage, chopped
¼ kilo baguio beans
1 can Hunt’s pork & beans
1  sachet tomato sauce (250g)
2 cloves garlic
1 small onion
2 tablespoon sugar
Salt and pepper,to taste
1 cup water
olive oil


In a pan, heat little oil to saute garlic and onions until fragrant. Then add in pork and continue to saute until brown on all sides.

Pour in the tomato sauce and 1 cup water. Add in potatoes and carrots. Bring it to a boil and just let it simmer until potatoes and carrots are tender.

Add in 1 can of Hunt’s pork and beans and baguio beans. Stir and let it simmer for a few minutes to cook the vegetables.

Season with sugar, salt and pepper to taste.

Lastly, add in the chopped cabbage. Cover pan and let it cook for a few seconds. Turn off heat. Ready to serve.
