I know you will be asking.. What is Cajun seasoning exactly? It’s a seasoning blend that came from Louisiana, the home of delicious Cajun recipes. Cajun is basically a spicy combination of flavorful stuff such as paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, pepper, oregano and other seasoning. 
So where to buy this Cajun Seasoning? You can buy it in major supermarket along the isle of seasonings like the Mc Cormick brands or you may buy it on online stores too. 

Cajun Chicken Pasta


110 grams linguine pasta
2 skinless, boneless chicken breast, sliced in thin strips
2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
2 tablespoons butter
2 red bell pepper, cubed
4 fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 green onion, chopped
250ml all purpose cream (or heavy cream) 
¼ teaspoon dried basil
¼ teaspoon lemon pepper
¼ teaspoon salt
⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese


Boil water in a large pot with some pinch of salt. Add linguine and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.

In a container with cover, place the chicken and sprinkle the Cajun seasoning. Cover and shake the container to coat and let it marinate. Set aside. 

In a large pan over low heat, melt the butter and saute the chicken until almost tender or lightly brown on the sides (5 to 7 minutes).

Toss the red bell pepper, mushrooms and green onion. Saute and stir for 2 to 3 minutes. Reduce heat.

Pour in the cream, basil, lemon pepper, salt, garlic powder and ground black pepper. Let it simmer over low heat. 

Add the cooked linguine, toss and heat through. 

Serve with grated Parmesan cheese on top, toasted garlic bread and best served with Caesar Salad. Yummy!
