Steamed Lapu-lapu with  Mayonnaise Dressing
This coming holiday season or New Year celebration, prepare a delicious colorful dish on your table. Try the colorful Steamed Fish with Mayonnaise Dressing. It’s very easy to cook. Its your time to shine! Bring out some artistic talent and cook this Steamed Lapu-lapu with Dressing.

Steamed Lapu-lapu with Dressing

MGA SANGKAP:
1 large fresh lapu lapu, cleaned and scaled
1 cup mayonnaise
½ cup red bell pepper, minced
½ cup cheese, grated
½ cup pickle relish
½ cup carrot, minced
2 hard boiled egg, minced the white part
½ cup spring onions, minced
½ fresh lemon, juiced

Suggested Decorations:
lettuce bed
boiled egg slices, on side
cucumber slices, on the side
tomato, slice top in zigzag to create flower look
parsley
bell pepper, sliced zigzag to form like a flower

PARAAN NG PAGLULUTO:

1. Ihanda ang steamer at magpakulo ng tubig.
2. Season fish with lemon juice, salt and pepper all over. Itabi.
3. Pahiran naman ng oil ang buong paligid ng foil para hindi dumikit ang pang-balot sa isda.
4. Balutin ng foil ang isda at ilagay sa hinandang kumukulong steamer. Steam the fish for about 20 minutes gamit lamang ang mababang apoy.
5. Ihanda naman ang mga sangkap at pinuhin maigi ang mga ito habang niluluto ang isda.
6. Ilagay na ang isda sa serving plate na may nakalatag na lettuce at hayaan muna itong lumamig ng bahagya para hindi matunaw ang mayonnaise. Kapag nawala na ang init, pahiran ito ng mayonnaise sa ibabaw pati ang buong ulo.
7. Lagyan ito ng garnish katulad ng nasa picture magsimula sa ulo. I-arrange maigi at naka-layer ng pantay pantay hanggang sa matakpan ng garnish ang buong isda ng itlog na puti, red bell pepper, pickle relish, cheese, carrots and spring onions.
8. Decorate the serving plate with sliced cucumber, chopped bell peppers, or sliced boiled eggs if preferred. Mas maganda kung may parsley sa paligid at hiniwang mga kamatis/bell pepper na korteng korona.

Steamed Lapu lapu with Dressing (English Version)

INGREDIENTS:
1 large fresh lapu lapu, cleaned and scaled
1 cup mayonnaise
½ cup red bell pepper, minced
½ cup cheese, grated
½ cup pickle relish
½ cup carrot, minced
2 hard boiled egg, minced the white part
½ cup spring onions, minced
½ fresh lemon, juiced

Suggested Decorations:
lettuce bed
boiled egg slices, on side
cucumber slices, on the side
tomato, slice top in zigzag to create flower look
parsley
bell pepper, sliced zigzag to form like a flower

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Prepare steamer and bring water to a boil.
2. Season fish with lemon juice, salt and pepper all over. Set aside.
3. Brush a large foil with oil to prevent fish from sticking to the wrapper.
4. Wrap the whole fish with foil and transfer to the prepared boiling steamer. Steam the fish for about 20 minutes over low heat.
5. Meanwhile, prepare the ingredients and mince it well.
6. Transfer the cooked fish into a serving plate lined with fresh lettuce leaves and let it cool first to avoid melting the mayo. Once the fish is cool, brush it all over with mayonnaise including the head.
7. Layer the garnishes to cover the fish. Start from the top of the head with minced boiled egg, red bell pepper, pickles, cheese, carrots and spring onions.
8. Decorate the serving plate with sliced cucumber, chopped bell peppers, or sliced boiled eggs if preferred. It looks better with decorated parsley on the side with crown shaped tomatoes and bell pepper on the side. Decorate as you like and according to your budget.
