Paksiw na Ulo ng Tilapia

2-3 pieces tilapia head, cleaned, scales removed and cut diagonally into half or into 3 parts
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 onion, sliced
1 thumb-sized ginger, sliced thinly
½ cup vinegar (mas masarap kung red cane vinegar)
1 cup water
1 teaspoon cooking oil
1 teaspoon peppercorn
2 teaspoon salt
2 green chili (siling haba)
1-2 pcs tanglad (lemongrass)


  1. In a pot, place tilapia, garlic, onion, ginger, dahon ng tanglad, salt and peppercorn.
  2. Add water, vinegar and cooking oil then add vegetables and green chili.
  3. Place the pot lid and simmer in a medium heat for 10-15 minutes or until tender.
  4. Remove from heat and Serve.
