

Suam na Asuhos (Silver Banded Whiting) or Tinolang/Sinabawang Isda. This fish is also a favorite recipe for Japanese Fish tempura. Simple everyday menu that is healthy and good for the whole family.
Suam na Asuhos
INGREDIENTS:
1 kilo Asuhos/Asohos, cleaned (Silver Banded Whiting)
1 thumb ginger/luya, sliced thinly
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 onion, chopped
1 ½ tablespoon patis (fish sauce)
2-3 cups water
1 pack Misua (200g)
1 bundle malunggay leaves (alternatively dahon ng sili/Chili leaves)
spring onions/dahon ng sibuyas, chopped (or just use siling haba)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. In a wok, heat oil to saute, ginger, onions, garlic with patis.
2. Add water, misua and fish. Bring it to a boil and just let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes to cook. Adjust seasoning as needed.
3. Lastly, add the malunggay leaves, spring onions and cover for about 1-2 minutes. Turn off heat.
4. Serve and enjoy!
