Steamed Pandan Rice makes any rice so delicious because of the aromatic flavor of pandan leaves. Classic and favorite Filipino style rice.
Steamed Pandan Rice
3 cups rice grain
3-4 cups water
2 pandan leaves
1. In a rice cooker pot, add rice grains and add clean water. Mix it a bit with hand and drain water. You may wash it 2-3 times until water becomes clear.
2. Once the rice grain is clean, add knotted pandan leaves and 3-4 cups of water. Bring it to a boil and just let it simmer after. It will cook on the stove over low heat for about 15-20 minutes until all water is absorbed and evaporated. Turn off heat and let the rice cook over residual heat for additional 10 minutes.
3. Serve it hot and enjoy with your favorite viand. Like fried chicken, fish, or any meat.
