Recipe and Healthy Benefits of Blueberries

“Studies conducted at the South Dakota State University show that freezing blueberries makes their powerful antioxidants more available to the human body. This is because anthocyanins, the antioxidant compounds that make blueberries blue, are found in the skin of the berry.” Source

Did you know… that Blueberries are jam-packed with nutrients and antioxidants. They also have lots of amazing health benefits, like protecting us from chronic disease and it helps us in reducing oxidative stress that causes aging.

Blueberry Smoothies Recipe

  • about 1 cup frozen blueberries* (or more)
  • 1/2 cup Fresh milk
  • 100g (cup) Pascual Greek Yogurt, (plain)
  • 2 tablespoons of Condensed Milk

  1. Fill up (halfway) your capsule cutter/blender with frozen blueberries. The frozen blueberries will serve as an ice too.
  2. Add fresh milk, 2-3 tablespoon condensed milk and Greek yogurt. I find Pascual greek yogurt yummier than Nestle..but any brand you like will do.
  3. Blend or pulse it until well mixed and smooth! You can freeze it for 15 minutes more if you want a brain-freeze cold smoothie. Hahahah..
  4. Upon serving, you can optionally add thawed/fresh berries or whole berries into the smoothies. Serve and enjoy!
