It is a chocolate-flavored variant of a Cafè Latté and also known as Mochaccino. Cafe Mocha is made with espresso, hot milk and chocolate. Chocolate is added into the coffee, typically in the form of sweet cocoa powder, although many varieties use chocolate syrup or even chocolate shavings. Remember, mochas can contain either dark or milk chocolate.
Cafè mocha is basically a mixture of hot chocolate with a shot of espresso but at home or any regular setting just use any instant coffee powder. Just like Cappuccino, cafè mochas also contain a distinctive milk froth on top upon serving. Or serve it with whipped cream like the other Chocolate drinks. They are usually topped with a dusting of either cinnamon or cocoa powder and marshmallows may also be added on top for flavor and decoration.
Another delicious variant is the White Cafè Mocha, which is made of white chocolate instead of the regular brown chocolate. There are also variants of the drink that mix the two syrups; this mixture is referred to by several names, including Black Mocha and White Mocha, Tan mocha, Marble Mocha, Tuxedo Mocha and Zebra Mocha.
