This Nutella and Strawberry Gozleme is a trending dessert in Melbourne, Australia. Don’t miss it, its super easy to make!
What is Gozleme?
A tasty Turkish stuffed turnover is called a gozleme. Although gözleme can also be created from yeast dough, the typical dough is made just with flour, salt, and water. It is similar to bazlama but is made differently since it is delicately coated with butter or oil.
Turkish Gozleme (Nutella and Strawberries)
1 teaspoon Salt
1 tablespoon dry yeast
250ml lukewarm water (approximately)
1 bottle Nutella
2 cups Fresh strawberries, sliced (divided for filling and garnish)
Combine flour, salt, dry yeast and water. Knead until a smooth dough. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes
Divide the dough into pieces and form into balls
Roll out thinly with a wooden rolling pin on a floured flat surface. Once flattened, spread it with enough Nutella and thin slices of strawberries. Seal or close the side.
Bake on both sides on a greased pan, oven, or crepes maker (or on a “sac” of concave metal with a gas stove beneath.)
Brush with butter on each side once cooked and browned.
Slice and serve with drizzled nutella sauce on top and garnish with fresh strawberry slices! So yummy!
How to Make a Nutella Spread into a Sauce:
Simply put a small bowl of nutella into a large bowl with boiled hot water. Let it cook and keep stirring the nutella as it melts under a hot water bath of your nutella bowl.
