Avocado Burger Recipe

Avocado Burger Recipe

You can use an entire avocado to make the actual burger. Literally using the avocado as the main look alike burger buns.

To make the bottom “bun” more solid when plated, simply cut a thin slice from the rounded side so it lies flat. Use a good avocado half as the top bun

Best to eat using a fork and knife, but if you’re feeling bold and wild, use your hands. Don’t forget to take lots of photos to show off your avocado-eating prowess. Lol..

Servings: 2

  • 2 avocados pitted and peeled
  • 2 Fried Eggs, sunny side up
  • 2 Toasted bacon
  • 1 bunch Fresh curly lettuce, chopped
  • Slices of large tomato
  • Slices of onions rings
  • ¼ cup Yogurt Dressing, recipe below
  • olive oil,  for drizzling
  • Toasted Black sesame seeds, for sprinkling
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

  1. Place an avocado half, cut-side up, on each of two serving plates and fill the cavity in each with the yogurt dressing.
  2. Top with the lettuce, tomatoes, onion rings, bacon and fried eggs.
  3. Drizzle with the lemon juice, season with salt to taste and top with the remaining avocado halves.
  4. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Enjoy!

I spread or season salads with this straightforward, filling yogurt mixture. Simply add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, for a consistency more akin to salad dressing.

Makes 1 ½ Cups

Yogurt Dressing

  • 1 cup + 2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 ½ tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • ¼ cup water (add it little by little only)

  1. In a bowl, combine the yogurt, dressing, salt, and ¼ cup water and whisk until combined.
  2. Store in a resealable container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
