Guava Season is here..So lets make an all natural smoothie that is healthy and good for our body. In fact you really don’t need to add sugar but if you’re serving for kids its best to use honey.. to add natural sweetness so kids will appreciate it more.

How healthy is a Guava Fruit?

Guava contains antioxidants, such as lycopene and flavonoids, which help protect cells from oxidative damage and have been associated with a reduced risk of chronic diseases, including certain cancers and heart disease. Guava is a low-calorie fruit with a high water content, making it a great option for weight management and hydration. It is also rich in vitamins A and E, which contribute to healthy skin and promote overall well-being.

You can adjust this recipe by adding a cup of spinach or kale for more nutrients, a tablespoon of chia seeds or flaxseeds for more fibre and Omega-3 fatty acids, or any combination of these. Guava Smoothie Recipe


  • 2 ripe pink guavas, peeled and seeds removed (preferably pink flesh guava)
  • 1 ripe banana, peeled
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or flavored)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or sugar (optional for added sweetness)
  • ½ cup almond milk (or any fresh milk of your choice)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup ice cubes


  1. In a blender, combine the ripe guavas, ripe banana, Greek yogurt, honey or sugar, almond milk, vanilla extract, and ice cubes.
  2. Blend until smooth over high speed.
  3. Taste the smoothie and, if necessary, add more honey or maple syrup to change the sweetness.
  4. Add more ice cubes and combine again to achieve the right consistency if you like a colder or thicker drink.
  5. Drink your smoothie and savor the refreshing and tropical flavor of guava!
  6. You can furthermore chill it by transferring into an airtight containers. Once almost chilled serve it. Best to consume within the day.
  7. You can freeze it and blend it again if already frozen. Pour and serve right away.
  8. Garnish with mint leaves. Serve and enjoy!
